Mondrian Lecture

The Mondrian Lecture is the Sikkens Foundation’s contribution to the debate on the cultural significance of colour. A scientist, artist, architect or designer discusses developments in the application of colour. Previous Mondrian Lecture speakers include Umberto Eco, Herman Pleij, Dick Schwaab and Narayan Khandekar.

This biennial lecture on colour takes place during the award ceremony and is named after Piet Mondrian as a tribute to the artist and his colour theories.
